    A CELEBRATION AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY

    Join us for a celebration of John Berryman, in honor of the poet's centenary, marked by FSG last year with the publication of four volumes of Berryman's work, each with a new introduction:

    The Heart Is Strange:  New Selected Poems, edited and with an introduction by Daniel Swift

    The Dream Songs, edited by Daniel Swift with a new introduction by Michael Hofmann

    Berryman's Sonnets
    , edited by Daniel Swift with a new introduction by April Bernard

    77 Dream Songs
    , edited by Daniel Swift with a new introduction  by Henri Cole

    Fourteen distinguished contemporaries will commemorate the poet's life and work, in three afternoon panels, and each will read a favorite poem in that evening's reading, including April Bernard, Henri Cole,  Cornelius Eady, Rachel Hadas, Saskia Hamilton, Cathy Park Hong, A. Van Jordan, Robin Coste Lewis, Edward Mendelson, Patrick Rosal, Evie Shockley, Daniel Swift, Kevin Young, Rachel Zucker.
